Rebirth of obsolete Inkjet printers into 3D printers

THE PHOENIX PROJECT

This is an experiment in creating a 3D RepRap Mendel based printer, by recycling the motors, pulleys, gears and hardware from an obsolete Epson Photo Stylus printer. There are two stepper motors inside that can be used. A 3D printer would need 4 motors. So I'm looking to use two printers. Now two inkjet printers destined for a waste facility will get new life as a 3D printer.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

  2. I do a lot of old printer recycling. Its a great way to re-use things. My current build uses a lot of parts from recycled printers. Keep up the good work my friend. If you want to see my project.
